OUR STORY
Who We Are
Our family's overseas adventure began in 1975 when my Dad (Brian) got the opportunity to work on a Civil Engineering project in Dubai. My Mum (Lynda) went with him and I was born soon after.
The middle eastern food was incredible and sparked their culinary passion.
A few years later another Civil Engineering project took us to a village in the Belizean jungle
(with myself and Jeff in tow). We ate communally outdoors every night, cooking on big open barbeques.
My Dad’s passion for barbeques and his excellent recipe for Caribbean Rum Marinade were born!

My Mum (Lynda) has always loved cooking and is somewhat of a renaissance woman! She has a keen eye for quality and very exacting standards, as well as a special knack for making good food great!

We moved to Hong Kong in the early 1980’s, which we loved it so much we stayed for 20 years! During our time in Far East Asia we delighted in the rich variety of taste sensations (from weird to wonderful). My brother (Jeff) and myself (Carrie) loved growing up in such a vibrant friendly and multi cultural society.
It's given us a lifelong passion for internationally inspired food.

Jeff's love of food inspired him to become a professional Chef, training in Norwich and then Canada where he subsequently pursued a career in the industry. Jeff has now returned to UK bringing his amazing signature
'Maple Hot Sauce' with him, in 2018 he set up Global Nomad to share it with the world!
My parents fell in love with the North West Coast in the 1960's when they came here from Manchester on holiday. They loved it so much that they decided to retire here. The Lancashire people are warm and friendly and there is a vibrant artisan community here that we love being part of.
We have all now put down roots in lovely Lytham St. Anne's.
